Well this was a doozie of a week for scavenger hunt pictures.
NOT!
I had good intentions.
I looked at the list early and often.
I started with what I thought was a neat take on 'basket'.
I stalled immediately after my neat take on 'basket'.
So, after 'basket' feel free to scroll at lightening speed cause my creative mojo got put in its place by
"girl, you best be getting to that 'real work'!"
and stomped to the ground by a daughter simultaneously counting down the days untill she returns to college and '"we need to do this, and this, and this, and this, and this.....NOW!"
It happens!
Hootin' Anni's gave us the words this week - and they challenged me to no end. Thanks Anni!
** basket(ball hoop) **
I originally took this because of the blah blah blah morning with rain drops
when it occurred to me....BASKETball hoop. Yep, that'll work.
** park(ing sign)**
new age park(ing) signs. more detailed. so many rules!
** auto (matic) **
do they even sell 'stick-shift' cars anymore?
** (re)CYCLE**
old picture and bending the rules.
** people watching **
apparently someone has a tumbling tournament and "special hair" is a must.
It was fun to watch all the ladies circle around and throw in their two-cents about how it should be styled.
. . .
well, that is it for me this week,
but be sure to visit others on Ashley Sisk's blog by clicking on the link at the top of the post.
. . .
I'm with ya on being stumped this week! But I do like that bike photo...the angle and perspective are great.
ReplyDeleteWe think too much alike. My first thought of basket was the hoop, but I couldn't find one locally with the net. Nice work. I too used a parking sign and I had thoughts of doing the gear shift for park or auto as well. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI had said the saem thing - basket was easy and then I was stumped. I'm glad to hear you felt the same. Your basket shot is super and I got a chuckle from the cycle shot.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! The bike is so vivid and fun. I just discovered your blog through the Scavenger Hunt...I look forward to reading more!
ReplyDeleteYour bike photo - ah-mazing!
ReplyDeleteLovely work - I too was stumped on the prompts, but you muddled through much better than me!
This was a difficult week for me as well, and it's funny that we ended up with the same idea for basket! Your collection turned out nicely, I especially love the bicycle.
ReplyDeleteTough week for me too....I love your Recycle shot :). I hope you got everything done that you needed to this week!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot for BASKET!! I love how sharp the details are against the soft bokeh. I really love the bike shot, too.
ReplyDeleteBasket is a great shot! And that's the most colourful sign for parking, all red and black over here. It was a tough week but I think your shots are good :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Nicki - love your take on Basket!
ReplyDeleteTough set this week, I think for lots of people. It didn't look hard on paper, but the reality of it was. I love your bicycle shot-and who cares if you dip into the archives. I'll tell you who- no one! : ) You and I were on the same page for the bball shot-but the water drips on yours are really cool. Have a great day, and doing now, now, now stuff with your daughter who will soon be gone, gone, gone, is way more important that the SHS.
ReplyDeleteWhen you said that you were bending the rules what came to mind was Bended Road and and Bending photo prompts. Haha I don't know thought I'd say that...
ReplyDeletehehe!
DeleteYour basketball hoop is brilliant. I miss-read the list and I have a tricycle for re-cycle...glad to see someone else stretching the rules a bit.
ReplyDeleteYour basket ball hoop is great, I like the raindrops hanging to the bottom.
ReplyDeleteWait - these are all fantastic!!! Very creative set. It was a hard one - and you prevailed ;D
ReplyDeleteI ditto on being stumped too this week. But you did a great job! This is a great set! I love your basket shot. I am such an amateur photographer and very frustrated so it's time for a little learning curve!
ReplyDeleteGreat job this week and it doesn't show that you were stumped at all! :-)
Don't you love all the different interpretations? Just goes to show, we are a creative bunch of photographers! I never would have thought of a BASKET(ball) hoop... nor taking a picture of the inside of the car to show AUTO... LOVE your pics. Doesn't appear that you had any difficulty capturing this week's words. Does your daughter go back to school tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words on my pictures - I do agree that half the fun is to see everyone's interpretations of the prompts. My daughter doesn't head back to college until next weekend - which will be here in the blink of an eye.
DeleteWell, I think you did very well! These are creative takes! I love the unexpected. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your choices and your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Love that basket pic especially.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your scavenger hunt shots Nicki!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE ALLLLLL of your photos this week! Absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretations! Love the basket shot and the recycle shot is brilliant (and great pictures as well).
Yeah it was one of those weeks for me as well. So much so that I resorted to archieved photos.
ReplyDeleteLoved your "Basket-ball" shot.
Also thought the People Watching was rather cute.
great set, perfect for the prompts!! nice to visit today!!
ReplyDeleteThink you still did great!! Love your bike shot!
ReplyDeleteYou did such a great job with this weeks hunt. I LOVE the basket shot. And Yes they still make stick shifts, I have one. :)

Cool selection of photos!
ReplyDeleteLove that new age parking sign at the school!! Tumbling hair is very important! I'm sure it looked beautiful! Thanks for stopping over. I love my Longaberger baskets too. The laundry basket does help with the drudgery a little bit!
ReplyDeleteI love your set! The parking sign is too funny. We could use a few like that at my school!
