hallelujah it's Saturday ...

 . . .

I've found my way to Anna Lenabem's texture work over on Flickr.

A*maz*ing talent is all I gotta say.

. . .

. . .

I think I like the first image better,
but something keeps pulling me back to the deer shot so I decided to include it as well.

  1. I really like the first one too.

I think I might like the second better if you cropped out some of the bottom and maybe the right hand side.

Right now, I think, the hard line between the bright meadow part and the darker woods part is moving right through the centre and is, for me at least, distracting. Anyway, just a thought.

  2. I agree with you on the crop - tried a different crop but came back to putting more distance in the view. But I completely agree that it is more technically correct with a tighter crop. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

  3. You did a great job on these.
I found her, too. Great textures and backgrounds. Haven't had time to play with any yet, though.

I think I like the first one best, too. But, they're both good.

  6. You did a beautiful job both times using the texture....I used this same texture in the shot I did on my blog for today...Interesting how many different looks you can get from one texture...I love her textures; so glad she is so generous....

  8. Wow! I love that top shot! Is that really the moon????? I really like the 2nd shot, but more as two shots. In the second shot, my eye is pulled to two focal points, the deer, and the moon, but since the eye is always pulled strongest to white in a photo, the moon keeps trying to trump the deer. But on my screen, as I scroll down, I see first the "top" photo, then the "second", and it makes my head happier, really liking "both" photos. (Does this make sense?)

  12. I love the textures, and love love love the first shot. The second one, I like, but my first thought as I scrolled down was that it was two shots framed together And I wondered why you did that. Then I saw the line wasn't straight and it was the same shot. Great that you got so close to the deer without it bolting! And the moon is amazing in both shots. Really amazing.
