scavenger hunt Sunday - St. Patty Edition ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day and may the luck of the Irish be with you.
In homage to a holiday that compels us to ditch our ancestral linage
and become one with our inner leprechaun,
this week's words are as follows:

** lucky **

Not exactly Irish, but if you're lucky, good fortune or the prophecy of one will come your way.

** Irish **

I, now this is more like it.

 ** Daylight **

[texture includes 'Amanda' by A Rural Journal]

Top o the morning!

 ** pot of gold **

one man's loose change is another man's fortune.

** clover **

the yard should be full of the real stuff by the end of the week
[probably shouldn't have cancelled that yard service]

* * *

Wishing you a rainbow
for sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
for golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
for luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
each day your whole life through!

Steve Elling:

Have you heard the one about the two Irishmen coming out of a bar . . .
really . . .  it could happen!

[wink, wink!]

  1. Nice shots, Nicki - love Daylight!

  2. The fortune cookie for lucky is great!

  3. Daylight is beautiful. I love the texture you added - it looks like it should be in an art gallery.

  4. Lovely, cool photos !!! I like the daylight a lot !

  5. Love "Daylight", and I got a chuckle out of your Irish joke! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  6. Great post, well done, thank you for the blessing!

    Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

  7. Lol!!! Fabulous post today Nicki.

  8. We're all a bit Irish today! Your Pot of Gold is my favorite. I have a jar of spare change sitting here in my vision right now and I never even thought to photograph it!

  9. Hey...clover doesn't need mowing as much and looks green-it's all good. Gorgeous daylight shot and I like your lucky interpretation.

  10. Great set.
    Lucky was a good interpretation.
    Loved the Daylight shot.
That Irish lady was cute and the Clover on the jar was very pretty.

  11. Great set! I love the little Irish figurine! And your jar of change is great for pot of gold!

  12. Daylight is wonderful and the rest are so creative!

  13. I am so enjoying this day of Irish celebration! Love your interpretations! Love the Irish lady and the clover on the glass!

  14. this is so fun to see all of your "irish" prompts...and thanks for the lovely little blessing!!

  15. The fortune cookie was a very creative idea!
Is the Irish Lass a Tom Clark figure? I've collected the pieces for years but this one isn't
    familiar to me.
    Love the glass 'clover' shot!
    Happy St. Patrick's Day!
    I loved the joke!!!!

    1. Well spotted - it is a Tom Clark figure. We were gifted with several over the early years of our marriage - not sure why as neither of us is of Irish heritage - but I love them all the same.

  16. So many great shots once again. I really do enjoy looking at your photos...

Happy St Patty's day to ya!

  17. Oh, these are so cute! Is it my imagination or does St. Patrick seem to be getting bigger as a holiday? That figurine of the Irish lady is adorable! And, yes, I also have a jar, very similar to yours full of change! It's so hard to get rid of it nowadays!

  18. Super set of photos for this week's scavenger hunt.

I'm hoping your patience wins out and that it DOES come your way, whatever you are wishing for.

  19. Great post, love your solutions to the hunt.
