A couple more pictures of Ryan and Ike taken the other morning before school. This usually occurs when the Boy needs to get up to do something and the ole 'cat on the lap' defense is invoked for not doing the task at hand. Ike is like a Hall Pass, a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free, Ace in the Pocket.
Tough job!
. . .
FYI - Ike [hearts] having his head kissed. He will actually bow down to allow you to do it.
Thank God he isn't spoiled. Nothing worse than spoiled kids pets.
Awh! That last one is especially adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that free pass is in use in this house too. "I was going to put the dishes in the dishwasher but (insert name of any given cat in here) was sitting on my lap and I didn't want to disturb her".
ReplyDeleteIt's opposite number is the "while you are up" gambit. Everyone sits around and then the first person who get up is hit with a chorus of, "while you are up would you , put the kettle on, move the laundry into the drier, feed the cats..."you get the idea.
OMG - it is as if you were sitting in my living room. Well, at least we know it isn't just our own families, right?!
DeleteI'm so allergic to cats, so this is a great way to get a little of that lovin' feeling, love that first shot!! Too bad the computer screen didn't have a scratch and pet mode! haha
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! These shots are so sweet! That one of your son kissing Ike's head melts my heart. I wish I had a cat....but my husband claims to be allergic....
ReplyDeleteAwwwww..... Love the kiss. And honestly---kids, pets....the similarities are stronger than the differences.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet -- cats can be the most annoying and the most loveable creatures. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't fuss at Ryan too much as I use this excuse or should I say reason often...how can you put love like that down to go do something so mundane......
ReplyDeleteSuch cute shots; love them...
Ha! Love that Ike isn't spoiled. :)) (But he deserves to be!!)
ReplyDeletePrecious moments before Ryan heads out into that big world .... He needs that little bit of lovin' and I'm sure Ike doesn't mind one little bit.
ReplyDelete"Adelaide and Beyond"
How sweet! How could one resist either Ryan or Ike?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Ike is such a handsome cat. I love that second picture.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! So great that he isn't spoiled - that would be so terrible!
ReplyDeleteHi Nicki, these images are just so beautiful, have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI like both shots but that second shot is just so sweet!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can just see the mutual love.
Well captured moment!
Beautiful portraits and I agree the second is so sweet. Thank you for stopping by pret-a-vivre and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! My cat does the same!!
ReplyDeleteLove these. They are both great. Kitties and kids are the best.
