POTD: Architectural Shots . . .

I love taking architectural shots and had a tough time limiting how many I posted. That said, I still need to work on composition; but I probably enjoy this format more than my attempt at portraits. Buildings do not sass back, or get tired of posing, or want to hurry up and go eat because they are starving.

ETA: This is Wonderworks -
"An amusement park for the mind, featuring over 100 interactive exhibits for the entire family to experience."
It was closed while we were there - but we're planning to check it out next visit.

  1. I like how you kept the entire building in that first shot.

  2. These are great. I love the first shot!

  3. Very cool! I'm intrigued by that upside-down building--what's that about?

  4. I love the reflection in your first shot - really nice. And I am also curious about that upside down building!
PS - I used to live in WVA - in Parkersburg, for 3 years in the 90's.

  5. I've added a addendum to explain the upside down house (imagine getting directions [at 2 am!!] to a hotel and told "its across from the upside down house" - and quite literally it was.]

Shirley - Parkersburg is a quite a bit north of us, however, another 2Pea - Lori, is in Parkersburg. Small world!

  6. OK, so where are all of these? More info please.

I really like the diversity and the first one makes that building seem SO tall. Nice POV.

  7. #1: off 5th Ave NYC, #2 Staten Island Ferry #3 NYC building detail, #4 and #5 Orlando, Florida.
