hash-tag ...

hooking up with Cool Clicks Thursday

[Nancy Claeys Textures: Argo from the Oscar Collection]

Have you ever looked back on your life and wondered "what the heck was I thinking?"
The hair.
The clothes.
The dates.
Those outings that could have gone down as 'really stupid' or 'well, that was fun'
- the difference being a thin line of separation.

well, for what it is worth, at least you didn't document them
#hotguy / #hotgirl

I am so stinking glad that twitter was not around back in the day limiting the number of witnesses to
#whatad*ck / #whatabiotch

Today's kids will one day wish as much, especially when they get to eat their words
- there is no looking in both directions and hoping no one saw it once it is tweeted.

So why am I blogging what most middle-aged people already know? Because my day started off with "could someone PLEASE stop the world from spinning!" and I don't need to spell out what follows that. I eventually rolled out of bed for a shower around 4 pm - but earlier, in between snoozing off the 'yuck', I caught part of an episode of Alton Brown's 'Good Eats' where he was making spaghetti. Like seriously good looking spaghetti. So when I realized that I needed to put some food in my system, guess what I went for this evening.

oh, the irony of it all!!!

  1. Oh you are so right about all of that - and this is one fabulous photo and edit Nicki!!

  2. Love the photo! Hope you're feeling much better by the time you read this. :)

  3. I'm a sucker for most bird pics but I seriously love this one, the colours, the softness, the cheeky angle of his head, another lovely shot.

  4. I'm sure with you on the Twitter thing. But that is a #fabulousbirdpic. Hope the spaghetti was good.

  5. Truer words have never been spoken! My sister and I were just talking yesterday about how hard it would have been to have all the tweeting, texting, updating, hashtagging, that today's teens do. It would have been quite an ordeal to date, socialize....everything as a teen. I don't envy those going through it now. :) Sorry you weren't feeling well. Hope you're doing much better now. :) Lovely bird picture, also.

  6. Not sure if that all made sense....what I meant to say was I'm glad I didn't have all that to deal with when I was a teenager. :)

  7. You started with a wonderful shot and the edit enhanced it beautifully!
    I really love this Nicki!
Sometimes when watching those food shows you can't help but want to try what they're doing. Hope the spaghetti was satisfying and hope you're feeling better.
