scavenger hunt Sunday - St. Patty Edition ...

Happy St. Patrick's Day and may the luck of the Irish be with you.
In homage to a holiday that compels us to ditch our ancestral linage
and become one with our inner leprechaun,
this week's words are as follows:

** lucky **

Not exactly Irish, but if you're lucky, good fortune or the prophecy of one will come your way.

** Irish **

I, now this is more like it.

 ** Daylight **

[texture includes 'Amanda' by A Rural Journal]

Top o the morning!

 ** pot of gold **

one man's loose change is another man's fortune.

** clover **

the yard should be full of the real stuff by the end of the week
[probably shouldn't have cancelled that yard service]

* * *

Wishing you a rainbow
for sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
for golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
for luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
each day your whole life through!

Have you heard the one about the two Irishmen coming out of a bar . . .
really . . .  it could happen!

[wink, wink!]

  8. We're all a bit Irish today! Your Pot of Gold is my favorite. I have a jar of spare change sitting here in my vision right now and I never even thought to photograph it!

Is the Irish Lass a Tom Clark figure? I've collected the pieces for years but this one isn't
    familiar to me.
    Love the glass 'clover' shot!

    1. Well spotted - it is a Tom Clark figure. We were gifted with several over the early years of our marriage - not sure why as neither of us is of Irish heritage - but I love them all the same.

  17. Oh, these are so cute! Is it my imagination or does St. Patrick seem to be getting bigger as a holiday? That figurine of the Irish lady is adorable! And, yes, I also have a jar, very similar to yours full of change! It's so hard to get rid of it nowadays!
