I don't know about the rest of you, but with each passing year my days seem to get shorter and it isn't always about what shall I do first, but what 'has' to be done today with everything else delegated to Scarlett O'Hara's proverbial "tomorrow". Presently I am whittling through photos with the objective of putting together a photo album of our trip. But which ones? Some are 'no brainers' like Notre Dame, Big Ben, Eiffel Tower (each taken from every angle); but I don't want to forget the beautiful fountain in Hyde Park from our walk the first evening of our stay; or the Gold Man posing for photos with people along the river bank near the Eiffel Tower who tried from afar to entice me to come closer so he could part me from a few euros for a quick snapshot. Of course there are the many canal and gondola pictures, but one can not go to Venice without memorializing the countless tchotchke shops that fill your time between photographing the canal, gondolas, and monuments. And with so many train rides during our trip, the book would be be incomplete without at last a few photos snapped from a train window (despite my propensity to get a pole in 2 out of every 3 pictures). After months of struggling with inspiration for pictures, having a treasure trove of pictures is a rich man's problems.
I'm loving seeing all the pictures from your trip!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos....
ReplyDeleteSounds like a marvelous trip.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could put an album together with my photos...each one holds a dear memory. I am enjoying my arm chair vacation of your European vacation.
ReplyDeleteMay you perpetually suffer from this horrible problem!
