When I grow up I would like to be a street and travel photographer.
I have always had a passion for people watching and enjoy it even more with a camera.
It takes bravado and finesse.
Courtesy and respect.
It is best done without family around, especially the ones that say "mom, don't do that", "Nicki, don't take pictures of people" and the ever popular "creeper".
But this lady was totally okay with me taking her picture.
This one, well she was oblivious - she was concentrating on the rat with wings
-
and I wasn't nearly as close as the picture would imply.
And these people, they define the location
and honestly I don't think they even noticed me.
Yea,
when I grow up ...
You do it very well!
ReplyDeleteawwww 'rat with wings' ... I happen to love rats, but still....
ReplyDeleteYes, I will join you when we grow up to be a street photography. I love this genre and wish I had better skills and guts. Love your captures!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree best without family around, they get freaked out so easily. I think you are grown up...just keep doing it.
ReplyDeleteI SO agree Nicki. I don't have the bravado to do it...but I love the shot you took of the woman with the pigeon. Good eye on that one.
ReplyDeleteI like to watch people...never thought of photographing them....very cool!
