black and white . . .
If you haven't done it yet - you really should check out photographer Esther Pederson. (link is on my side bar ). Esther's recent beach post inspired me to explore black/white takes on some of my beach shots. While her photos are muted color, it peaked my curiosity about viewing a scene more frequently seen for its soothing colors in an even more basic palette.
Who would have guessed that I would be inspired on beach shots from someone from Alaska - but there ya go! Esther is a portrait photographer who I'm not sure fully appreciates her powerful eye for landscape photography.

ReplyDeleteI love Esther's beach shots, and yours are just as wonderful! You're both inspiring me to shoot something at the beach other than my kid on a boogie board! :)
ReplyDeleteBetween you and Esther I'm ready to pack my bags and go to the beach! Your photos are equally appealing. I also really, really like this picture of you! You need to post more pictures of you!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! I love her beach shots as well. I take the beach for granted. We live so close I rarely even take my camera anymore. I'm inspired now to bring it next time!
