The Fall Fest carnival was in town where ridiculous amounts of money were spent on stuffed toys, anti-healthy foods, and hours and hours of hysterics .., er, I mean rides. I misunderstood when the kids were to go to the carnival yesterday, consequently they were there from 1 pm until 11 pm. Yes, that would be 10 hours of the aforementioned Fair amenities. And mind you, this only after they had spent 4 hours there the night before. I swear, my son could be dropped off and left with the carnies as soon as they pull into town and picked up as they are leaving and he would be happy. On the other hand, my daughter has ZERO interest - so I guess somewhere in there it balances out.

ReplyDeleteUgh! I was never overly fond of carnivals or amusement parks, and dreaded the "required" visits when the kids were little. I sometimes wonder if the kids picked up on my apathy and it rubbed off on them, but they always preferred beach vacations to trips to Disney World.
