Going Global . . .

Tried some different angles on these shots.

Playing around with the camera and the off-camera-flash, wondering how well it could do in a room only lit by the tree. Actually, doing what ever was necessary to avoid watching another sports car show.

why yes, the husband is home for the holidays - and while I have to sporadically take a break from the family room, I can't complain because if anyone needed some time off this year, it was him. So, sports car shows sprinkled with James Bond movies is fine. I'll just take my camera and wander off now and again to maintain my sanity.

  1. :-) Love that 3rd shot! I understand your need to remove yourself from the TV. When DS was here for the holidays, ESPN was enough to make me want to slit my wrists.

  4. These are gorgeous, my daughter is totally admiring your snow globe (she collects them). One of these days I really need to dive into the OCF world. :)

  5. What a beautiful globe! Is it musical? It looks like the Fontanini figurines. I love having my DH home . . . except for the constant need of TV noise . . . and that's why I'm so grateful for my iPod, I can at least then control what the noise is. And I'm with you, the time off is well deserved.

  6. Love these shots and all that beautiful bokeh! I also wander off (but from the basketball games) with my camera. Sanity is good :)!

  8. That really is a beautiful snow globe! I like your third view, with the lighting and bokeh. I love doing this exact same thing,(except yesterday, while DH was trying to watch football, and because I'm apparently not as nice as you, I was hanging the red Christmas ornament with dental floss from our track lighting, in the middle of the living room, disrupting the football mojo.)
