Forrest Gump once said "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get"
I'd take that a step further and say, its not always about loving what you got,
but learning to like it as well.
Today is the last day of school for the Boy. His final day of being a Freshman, no longer a newbie, unable to use ignorance of policy as a viable excuse, and the loss of a bit more of his innocence. I know he didn't exactly love every aspect of it, but there were parts that he definitely liked. My hope is that he exits his Freshman year a wiser and stronger young man.
Love your sentiments and the photos as well. Again, I can't believe school is over ...or close to being over (tomorrow for us) Good luck with the summer...and maybe enjoy some chocolates!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderfully philosophic view of the end of the school year. You know the Boy is just looking at it as freedom ;-). The hope is always that they emerge from the end of the school year a little smarter and a little wiser than when they entered.
ReplyDeleteWow another year gone by. I love the shots of the chocolate. Yummy and great focus.
ReplyDeleteThose chocolates look good. Love the photo where you've taken a bite out of one. Yummmm.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and yummy chocolates!!
ReplyDeleteOh that chocolate just wouldn't stand a chance around here. It wouldn't have lasted until the photos! Congrats to your boy!!!!!!!
