When it comes to efficient use of computer space, the rule of thumb is to clear out "non-usable" pictures either in-camera or immediately after uploaded to the computer.
For me that is a goal, not a standard. It is so hard when those "non-usable" pictures show a side of your subject that makes you smile from ear-to-ear.
When I photograph these kids, there is a part of them that doesn't think I will actually take the picture.

Oh, these are definitely keepers!! I just love these type of shots, they are so real. He looks like quite a character :)
