the gift of Friday ...

almost finished with a work assignment that I've been chipping away at like a boulder for weeks, and then I can finish watching the remaining episodes of Monarch of the Glen (now that I figured another way to view them since Netflix dropped it from their instant stream catalog). [insert Snoopy happy dance]

The Girl can breath again now that she has juggled some classes
- and this, in turn, makes mom and dad happier.

The Husband has Super Bowl Sunday on the horizon. [need I say more!]

The Boy can go into vegetative mode and do what teenagers do best
- sleep/eat/videos/sleep/eat/facebook/sleep/eat/videos.
rinse and repeat

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. A lot for everyone to look forward to this weekend. I had to laugh at your description of the Boy's weekend....so typically teen boy. You nailed it.

  3. Sounds like a lot of RR time this weekend for you and yours. Thanks for the compliment on my blog layout. . . . I'm pretty good at entertaining myself when there's a change of plans, and spent some timeout messing with Blogger today. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the header bigger, and getting the colors I want in the text. I'm going to have to google Monarch of the Glen, but I'm really liking Doc Martin these days (not that I know whether it's even similiar to Monarch of the Glen!)
I like how you treated the background/blur in your second angel photo. . . .

  4. Sounds like things are well at your house :) Don't you just hate it when Netflix drops something you love watching? Glad you found another way though.

  5. Even when I wasn't working I loved Fridays. I've never heard of Monarch of the Glen--think I'll go look it up as I need something to watch now that there's no football or baseball.
