it is always a matter of perspective.
both pictures taken the same morning
- one directed towards the rising sun,
the other with the sun to my back
- each a very different feel.

my husband always makes it a point to categorize seagulls as flying rodents - seaside pigeons. As I sat watching the waves and seagulls, I tried to imagine the scene with rats scurrying around in the sand, hunting for some discarded food.
Definitely not as charming and almost took all the romance out of sitting on the beach.
almost.
I'd rather keep my own perspective of seagulls, where they are a symbol of care free living.
- the ultimate beach bum.

Great perspective. I agree they are the ultimate beach bums :)

I'm not a fan of Seagulls either but they do make great photo subjects...love the reflection.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the seagulls. They're just trying to make a living like the rest of us. Love your photos of them. Makes them look very special.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, love the reflections. I'm jealous, wish I could be relaxing on the beach there with you :D
ReplyDeleteOooh! I love that first picture! The seagull seems to be shimmering as much as the water! I guess I must have been a beach bum (or a seagull) in a former life, because I just love the ocean. I never get enough of it!
ReplyDeleteFlying rodents. lol. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteseagulls are disturbingly large birds. *cue: mine, mine, mine.
ReplyDeleteLove the different perspectives you captured Nicki! And I'd rather not think of them as flying rodents!! LOL!
