hide and seek ...

this belonged to my parents, unfortunately all the family videos lovingly taken with it got lost in a move.  To be honest, I was starting to fear that the camera itself might be lost as it went to the attic with a lot of miscellaneous boxes when we moved into this house 100 years ago (slight exaggeration). While putting away Autumn/Halloween decorations and pulling down some Christmas items, I went on a mission to find this.  In the process I made some other discoveries:

passport I assumed my mom had thrown away. {Sorry Mom!}
 Partridge Family albums,
psychedelic binders from high school,
clarinet lesson books (mine, not my daughters -and from 5th grade no less!)
Chicago band posters,
1970s music magazines.
my drivers permit.  . . .

Gracious, I'm starting to sound like a candidate for Hoarders!

I am determined that The Boy and I will venture to the attic this winter/spring with plastic totes and organize what is to be kept, what is to be thrown away, and that to be delivered to Goodwill.
Admittedly, while up there I was starting to have a Clark Griswold moment - but with better flooring.
(for those familiar with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation)
Maybe upon further inspection I'll come across a hidden holiday gift.

not likely!

[ps.  this makes my 950 post on this the magical 12-12-12 - wow!]
