it's nothing personal, but I do not recall ever seeing or hearing about these bugs until in the last year.
"Stink Bug" - I am pretty sure I would remember that.
They crawl. They fly. They land where every they dang well please cause nobody,
and I mean NO BODY
wants to gather them up and dispose of them.
Plus it is not like they are just here or there - they are every where.
Supposedly their first appearance in the US was in the 1990s in Allentown, PA.
and apparently they live to destroy crops.

after a couple of pictures this one was sentenced to death, gently wrapped in tissue,
and is now sleeping with the fishies (so to speak).
I know that everyone's day is now complete with this knowledge.

ReplyDeleteI've heard of stink weed which I think smells sort of garlic-y...not all that obnoxious to me. Now, you've got me wondering what a stink bug smells like.

ReplyDeleteUGH...the dreaded Stink Bug. I didn't realize they first appeared in Allentown! No wonder I have so many stinkin' stink bugs. Mine always meet a burial by sea....the toilet.
