The trees are quickly filling with buds, flowers, and birds.
Yesterday it was in the 80s and today will be much the same, if not hotter so at this rate we will soon have a full-blown floral palooza. I am assured by our resident weatherman that cooler winds will prevail by the weekend so no need to panic yet about having to resort to air conditioning, which is good news because I have yet to come to terms with the idea of mowing this early in the year.
Could we PLEASE have one season at a time?
PLEASE!
. . .
Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts on the blog design. I know that ultimately I will
settle on something that speaks to me, it's just at this time there is a convention going on in my head and it might be a bit before I weed out the nonsense and fine tune the direction I hope to go with this change. I think I'm good with most of it except the header - the hallelujah choir isn't singing yet in that department - but hopefully I'm getting closer to what I want.
I think the 80's temps but that's just a wee bit warm too soon.
ReplyDeleteLovely blossoms and a nice catch of the Grackle!
I like today's header - photos and colors. This looks more polished than the one that included a banner.
It seems it is feast or famine with the seasons...no spring or fall anymore.....
DeleteI like this header better too. Don't get frustrated you will get it just like you want it and say "that's it"....
Enjoyed your tree shots! I am ready for ours to fill out too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful outside shots! Spring has sprung, all right! Love the bird. And I also like the new heading. But I have decided to change mine whenever the mood strikes me to change my facebook timeline pic. That could be once a month or once a week. I'm okay with that even if it makes me seem wishy-washy.
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you with flowers and buds and birds! But boo to 80 degree weather, I like my spring.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like this header more, love how you put your signature tree into it :)
Love the bird with that nice bright eye.
ReplyDeleteI like the new feeling of the blog too. Might not be exactly what you want yet, but it has a nice, light, spring feeling to it...and I am sure ready for that!
Isn't it great to see spring?! I like your new design, but know what you mean if it's not singing to you yet, ha ha. You'll get it!
ReplyDeleteI love the header concept - the background is so my style to enjoy! And I like that your tree is in there. It is a bit wide for my monitor, but perhaps that says a little something about my monitor, you think!
ReplyDeleteLovely trees coming to life! I think I'd melt if our temps were suddenly in the 80's, although I've complained enough about the chill here, that maybe melting wouldn't be so bad for me! Enjoy the warmth, the buds and the birds!
Oh, and enjoy that convention! I love the charge of a brain full of thoughts and ideas! Such an adventure.
I totally hear you on the weather frustration :/ 85 degrees from 55? Grrrr...but I am going to brag and say I called it. It happens all the time here in MD. The theory here is if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute ;)
ReplyDeletefamiliar saying in this neck of the woods as well. grrr! indeed. Waiting on that April snow. You'll know it happened when you hear cursing from SW WV. (that'd be moi!)
DeleteThose first buds heralding warmer weather always raise the spirits.
ReplyDeleteI can see the whole width of your blog now! It looks fantastic. Thanks for commenting on my muffins. My family says the same thing when I am photographing my/our food...
ReplyDeleteNo flower buds here as yet -- I am impatiently waiting... :)
ReplyDeleteFall and spring are the same way here, furnace one day, air-conditioning the next. I am anxious to see if anything has budded out at home. Don't think it has warmed up quite as much as you yet. And I think winter hit again today. I tend to change my header with the change of seasons...early spring, late spring, early summer, late summer etc etc. I am not one to leave things alone. Have fun and it's your header, so you decide what YOU like!!
ReplyDeleteSpring sprung really early here and then winter decided to make a return engagement. Sometimes we get a second spring when that happens, but I don't think we will this year. I'm always amazed how one day the buds are just opening, the next there are a few leaves, and then, all of a sudden, the flowers are gone and the tree is fully leafed.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue stripes on the bird. I kept going back to it because my mind kept telling me they weren't really there.
I can only dream of 80 degree days! Mostly we have a very wet and cool springtime here in WA State. Pretty photos of the flowering trees and the beautiful bird. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the new blog look! Gotta do that to mine (think it's been forever since I even changed the header!!) - And I am jealous of your Spring - more snow on the way tomorrow here :(
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely blooms! I know it got hot all of a sudden, but you have the blooms we are all still waiting for. I LOVE that crow photo - there is bokeh everywhere - front (which I think is really cool and hard to get "right") and back, yet the bird is so sharp and amazing.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the weather - the cool front blew through here yesterday - it's on its way to WVA.
I especially like the first photo; so pretty! :) And I also really like the blog make-over!
