oldies but goodies ...



Christmas is like pixie-dust to all that is old; it takes it from archive to current, from old school to cool.
Memories, even the rough ones, are recollected with a twinkle in the eye. 
Hideous sweaters are now all the rage for "ugly sweater" parties. 
Candy, the kind your grandmother and probably her mother, and her mother, and so on and so forth, brings a smile to even the staunchest curmudgeon. 
Old ornaments hang aside the new ones and do the tree proud; 
and songs - even some not originally associated with the holiday, have you humming in the car.

  4. I love all that old fashioned candy. Especially those raspberry chews. I bought a bag of them when I was about 11-ate the entire bag-was sick as a dog-didn't touch em again until 20 yrs later!! True story!!
