take me out to the ballgame | t-ball style ...

"if you build it, he will come"
Field of Dreams

"Little League baseball is a very good thing
because it keeps the parents off the streets."
Yogi Berra

"There are three types of baseball players:
Those who make it happen,
those who watch it happen
and those who wonder what happened."
Tommy Lasorda

"Baseball is 90 percent mental and the other half is physical."
Yogi Berra

"When baseball is no longer fun,
it's no longer a game."
Joe DiMaggio

"The thing I like about baseball is that it's one-on-one.
You stand up there alone, and if you make a mistake, it's your mistake.
If you hit a home run, it's your home run."
Hank Aaron

good, random, fun at the ballpark
where 5-6 year old children believed the dream that anything is possible
and for an hour or so, their parents did too.

  1. So, so cute...and what a lovely day!

  2. How cute are these - little red sox players - love it!! Happy birthday to your husband!

  3. Terrific. Brings back memories. Mind little guy is 6'3" and a junior in high school now.

  4. These are just wonderful photos!! I adore baseball - so I love the quotes and the whole feel of this! The little guy hanging his head really got a chuckle out of me!

  5. Oh these brought back some very fond memories of when our son played baseball, starting off with T-Ball. I love all the quotes to illustrate your great shots!!

  6. OHH....this is such a fun post. And Field of Dreams is a favorite of mine! Perfect quotes Nicki..and happy birthday to your hubby!

  7. Good memories, sweet photos! Love the quotes, too. Happy Birthday to the hubs! xo

  8. Nicki, I adore this post! Your photos are more than wonderful, and the captions put a big smile on my face! That Yogi Berra can always be counted on for the absurd, but funny quote! Happy birthday to your husband!

Btw, what ever happened to POTD? Did it fizzle out?

    1. I think it might have. I finally threw in the towel with 2Peas last year - there was hardly anyone participating and I was becoming more and more involved with other memes - time to cut one loose. I miss a lot of good folk from that site.

  9. These are wonderful pictures! That second-to-last shot is just so sad.
