pretty good ...
not so bad
okay - these just creep me out

sorta random way to welcome people into the park ...
but this is totally random
... inserted between pretty images of snowflakes
- which in the middle of summer in Florida is random in and of itself.

Pre-Disney all I knew about the movie Frozen was from the commercials
and what I came away from them with was that it had a very obnoxious snowman ...
and a pretty main song.
The only time I was interested in anything associated with the movie was when we were in the Imagineer Art session where you "learn" how to draw a character.
I was the one in the back of the room rooting for 'Olaf' - cause if there is one thing I can draw, it is three circles with two sticks for arms
(... yea, the illustrator who drew this assignment might have been over-paid)
[FYI - we went with Grumpy - mine looked like his skinner, meaner cousin with some pretty bad genetics]
I had zero interest in seeing the movie despite several people saying it wasn't half bad.
It is not often I get out to see a movie so I'm not going to waste it on 'not half bad'.
But mid/end Disney we had been surrounded by 'Frozen' food/characters/merchandise/fireworks - so it only seemed appropriate to check the movie out on our down day from the parks. The extent to which I made it through the movie (antihistamines + me = zzzzzz)
- to my surprise, the obnoxious snowman was the sound of reasoning.
Still obnoxious - but more in a cute way.
So the lesson here is 'don't judge a movie based on it's commercials'.
Which seems to defeat the purpose behind commercials - but we'll cover that on another day.

Olaf is the best!
ReplyDeleteLOL! There was such a Frozen mania wasn't there? I still have not watched, even though it is sitting downstairs for the viewing at any time. I was so sick of all the Let it Go business that I just couldn't do it. I know I will enjoy it another time when the hysteria settles. I typically love Disney movies, so I know it will be just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteHaha I am such a Frozen fan - seen it like 4/5 times! Noam LOVES Olaf!
ReplyDeleteI may be that last person on earth who hasn't seen "Frozen." I hear great things about it, but it will have to wait until after baseball season.
ReplyDeleteYes, sweet, cute and fun!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Frozen yet, either! I actually rented it one weekend and never got around to carving out the 90-120 minutes to watch. I do like the Let it Go song and I hear the rest of the music is really good, too. Oh well, maybe when it's cold outside....
