smile | black white Wednesday ...

'Smile Hannah'
Laguna College of Art and Design

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you
just

SMILE
Charlie Chaplin

~
Yesterday we bury my husband's Aunt Faye.  The entire time I have been a part of his family she was a mainstay; as familiar to me as though I had known her my entire life.  A woman who loved large and even in tight times, showered those around her with generosity.
I will forever remember her welcoming smile and embrace
at every reunion, holiday, yardsale, birthday, or visit.
She fought a good fight
and will be so greatly missed,
but rather than cry
I'm going to remember all the smiles and laughter.
pretty sure she'd prefer it that way
