BOXING DAY ...

"Boxing Day"
a reference the Brits give to the day after Christmas.
 A phrase that triggers images of strapping on boxing-gloves to duke it out,
or, wrapping/boxing it up to put away until next year.
 Neither of which is correct.
It is in reference to years gone by where employees would receive Christmas boxes (gifts) from their employers. Now it is probably a little closer to US "Black Friday" where strapping on the gloves and boxing it out at the stores is about right.
That, or if you believe half of the e-mails you have been burdened with over the past months
Boxing Day is your "LAST CHANCE to get that elusive 'best deal' of  50% 40% 20% 10% Off" before all specials are wrapped up for the year.
I don't know about the rest of you, but holiday sale ads are running a close second to political/campaign ads in my book and I am so ready for them to give it a rest.
 But we all know that is never going to happen, heck, the Hallmark Channel is already pimping out 'Valentines Day' .

Enjoy your post-Christmas
 gift - family - food - overload;
 as for me I'm going to move into the gym to atone for my holiday indulgence.

feeling a little like this fella

 Cheerio!
