black and white wednesday | deal with it ...

We've had a nice dose of winter over the past week and contrary to instructions I gave my daughter about dealing with the weather in Boston, I've done nothing but whine and complain.
 It hasn't helped one bit.
I have failed to "deal with it".
My daughter, on the other hand, has forged through and even looked beyond the excess and frigid temperatures to appreciate its beauty; contributing to my collection of lamp pictures from Wellesley.
By the way, her birthday is this week - believe she is turning 20 ...
again ...
second time around.
{I probably need to work on dealing with that too; oh my! }

My Memory Art

[excuse the hues - not technically a solid black/white edit, but certainly so in the ambience]

  1. Beautiful picture. I do hope your daughter has a happy birthday x

  2. Beatufiul shot! Nature's black and whites always include a few this! That campus is so beautiful!!

  3. What a great black and white. The snow is offering the B & W photographers a great season for their work!

  4. Although the snow is a pain, it is beautiful. :))

  5. Do as I say, not as I do. Always been my mantra when it comes to my Things :)

  6. I love the subtle bit of color. Such a beautiful snowy scene even though everyone is sick of it on your end. Just send a bit our way. We are on pins and needles to see if a few flakes materialize today!

  7. Happy Birthday Allyson! Nice photo too.

  8. It is monochromatic enough to fit the theme, IMO. I do love the pristine beauty of a snow scene, although mainly in "theory". I dislike the reality of the grey, mushy stuff that inevitably comes over time (but Boston's probably received so much snow that most of it is still white!). I am quite ready for Spring to come!

  10. Happy birthday to your daughter who has taken a fabulous snow shot. I like the liquid feeling it has and the subtle lighting.

  11. Wonderfully creative and beautifully edited ~ photo

    Happy week to you,
