sweet dreams are made of this
who am I to disagree?
I travel the world
and the seven seas,
everybody's looking for something
Sweet Dreams | Eurythmics
Been looking for something sweet, but still healthy.
Then I remembered a recipe for a peach cobbler I saw earlier this summer
... strangely enough despite finally having a working oven,
I resort to a slow-cooker recipe.
I resort to a slow-cooker recipe.
~
4 cups fresh/frozen peaches, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup sugar
- Gently toss together and pour into a sprayed slow-cooker. -
1 cup Bisquick Mix
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
- In medium bowl, gently beat with whisk until blended,
then pour over peaches.
Cover and cook on low for 3 hours or until set in center. -
~
Taste - very good though I prefer a crispier crust
- but all-in-all, not bad,
and SO easy.
- but all-in-all, not bad,
and SO easy.
I used skim milk, stevia sweetener, and 'HeartSmart Bisquick', then added some cinnamon/sugar on top
- so by my math:
fruit + sugar free + low fat = sweet, still kinda healthy.

ReplyDeleteOooooh, yum.
ReplyDeleteSounds really good. I think that peaches are very photogenic and you did a great job with them. I bought a bag of peaches last week, but we ended up eating them in their natural state even though I was planning to do some dessert of some kind. Can't complain. They were terrific.
ReplyDeleteOh boy...peach season, my favorite season next to Baseball Season! Thanks for sharing at Song-ography!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy, and I love using my slow cooker for things.
