little.things.thursday | gambler ...

may the odds be ever in your favor ...

Didn't win the lottery, but it was fun listening to my husband expand on what he would do if he won.  I'm not generally a gambler, never have been; so I don't give it any thought, except those rare occasions when the lottery swells to a large number and my husband grins at me and asks if I have a dollar or two.  I've realized that over the years my daydreaming of coming into a large sum of money has become less about me and more about how I would share it.
Age, I guess.

I do though wonder why my husband playfully buys a ticket only when the numbers are at their highest and not on average.
Probably something or another to do with improved odds.
math!

  5. Is that a Galileo thermometer? Lovely shots, I've always wanted one of those....maybe one day, if I win the lottery :) Visiting from Little Things Thursday.

  6. I don't buy lottery tickets even if the pot it large. The odds are so not in your favor and the people who win, well, it never seems to go well for them :-(. Love your thermometer - it gives off a calm feeling.... Enjoy the rest of your day!

  7. My mother in law had one of these. Always thought they were neat. Not a gambler here, either, but those large pot winnings are appealing.

  8. We do the same thing: We buy a lottery ticket when the winnings are high, and then we forget to check the results, sometimes for months. I guess we better not give up our day jobs.
