In Shibuya (and I suspect other locations) there it is the practice of driving trucks around the block playing music to promote a group, maybe a show, or video game. We're not talking little pickup truck either, we're talking U Haul full-size with the trailer serving as a massive boom-box. In a country that has a mandatory garbage recycling regime, I found this somewhat contradictory to the 'save the planet' philosophy.
Not judging, just an observation.

Haha I used to LOVE that song! Bet that practice can get a bit annoying or be a nice pick me up!
ReplyDeleteI loved that song also!!
ReplyDeleteFun way to promote things, and it must liven up the crowds. Ever been to Vegas? They use the same advertising strategy there (although in a PG13 way).
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised - been a long time since I was at Vegas but would totally expect this advertising technique.

Reminds me of Vegas, EXCEPT...the trucks are smaller in Vegas, who would have thunk it? haha. Thanks for sharing at Song-ography.
