“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
― Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
With one kid in another country and having already received her Christmas
and the other kid declaring he "just wants money"
- ribbons, tags and packages, boxes or bags may not be happening.
But by golly it will come with a tree and some seasonal decorations.
Which made for a good, perhaps not so random, but certainly fun weekend.

Remember the good ole fashioned Christmases? **sigh**
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I always appreciate a beautifully decorated tree!
ReplyDeleteGot to have Christmas gifts and decorations. I give grandchildren money, at their request, but spent an inordinate amount of time for just the right "other gift" for them to open.
ReplyDeleteLovely tree! Ours is also up!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I miss the days of lots of presents under the tree.
ReplyDeleteI wish Merry Christmas to you !!!! Time goes so fast. Lots to do before Christmas. You have beautiful photos as always ;)
ReplyDeletePresents get harder and hared to buy every year.
ReplyDeleteI too miss the days of searching for the "perfect" gift & stocking stuffers. Yes, decorating the home does give me pleasure... But sure wish my family was here to enjoy it. Those were the days.
ReplyDeleteChristmas, is indeed, so much more! We will be without much too, and you slowly realize, it was never really needed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful holiday images!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest is in Kuwait, so Christmas presents have already been shipped. The oldest will be home today and I'm hoping he'll help me decorate the tree. I don't know, I just don't seem to be able to get into the Christmas mood this year.
