plethora ...

Did I mention the birds?

I call this one Spidermanbird because it looks like he/she scales the sides of the fence while the rest journey along the top of the fence.

'skip to my lou my darling' anyone?
 Finch, perhaps.
Blurry picture but I just had to keep it because it captured this one pre-flight getting a running start.

Robin with a bit of Kim Klassen Downton AbbeyII texture (Isobel).
Large and In Charge!

My uncle used to imitate Woody-Woodpecker when he delivered mail. I'd like to think he only pulled out this talent when joking around with kids and not when the lady of the house came to the door, but I can not guarantee this was the case as he was known to be a bit silly at times. What he lacked in the brains department was doubled in the heart department.  Times weren't always good to him but he always put a good face on it.

and Kim Klassen Textures
Textures Tuesday

  1. They are all so sweet, Nicki...and, I really love that 2nd shot. Kinda looks like stained glass. :)

  2. Really beautiful little birds. Love your pretty textures. You did a lovely job!

Thank you so much for joining us at Communal Global every week. We love when you come!

  3. I love the little guy taking off from the fence....He does look like he's skipping along....

  4. I like how that chickadee was clinging to the fence too. I also like what you've done to the second photo. Good work!

  5. Hey Nicki - I wanted to let you know that I've tagged you in my most recent post! It's a great way to get to know other bloggers, as well as spread viewers around. If you are interested, go take a look and then repost, tagging other interesting bloggers.

    Have a great day!

  6. It is great how you saved the blurry photo - I agree it was worth keeping for the unique view of take-off. Love your use of textures.

  7. Oh--SO jealous of the feeder shots. YOu have a nice variety of birds around there. The last guy certainly is plumped up!

  8. Oh they are so cute. I really must get a feeder.

  9. I love the birds, the skipping one on the fence, the round looking puffed up soft grey, and the black and white who looks to be wearing a red bow on the back of his head.

  10. Fun little the skip to my lou...what fun it always is to capture birds, they are such beautiful creatures!!

  11. These are such pretty, pretty pictures of the birds. I love how perfectly the Isobel Kim Klassen texture works with the third photo. :)

  12. What an adorable little group of birds you have (and thanks for reminding I need more food for my feeder)... LOVE your textures!!
