I didn't notice until I was in the car heading over to the school last weekend, but they got my name right. Do you have any idea how rarely that happens? My name is short and simple and still people manage to spell it every which way but loose. I guess I have Nicki Minaj to thank. (didn't see that one coming did you?)
After 22+ years maybe now my husband's family will get the spelling right ... probably not!
In any event, it put me in a very cheery mood.
Oh, the little things can truly bring a smile to your day.
I have to admit I always have to check the spelling of your name before I include in a comment. Sorry! :)
ReplyDeleteI kind of have the right spelling of your name glued into my brain, but it isn't surprising 'cause I just so happen to be really good at remembering that sort of thing!
ReplyDeleteMy best friends name gets spelled wrong all the time so I know what a big deal it is when it's correct.
ReplyDeleteI always double check to make sure I get it right!!
ReplyDeleteI hope, and I'm confident, that a shared spelling is ALL you have in common with Nicki Minaj! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally get how the correct spelling of your name would make you happy. i have the same problem! Have a great weekend, and starbucks is a great place to start out!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Kathy's comment! :)
ReplyDeleteMy name gets misspelled too. I get 'Carlotta' quite a bit.
I think I'd like some Starbucks now.:)
I hear you! I spell my name out for people - Jo Ann - two words - no Es - and what do I get - Joan, Joanne, Joeanne - and everything else you can imagine - plus odd ways of pronouncing - it is simple - Jo and then Ann. Oh well, as my uncle used to say - call me anything, but don't call me late for dunner. LOL So I'm always careful to spell names properly - afterall - our name is the one thing we really do own.
ReplyDeleteMy bank did the worst job on it - on my bank card my name is Jo A - that's it - oh well, at least I can get my money with it.
Little things DO mean a lot!
ReplyDeleteIt those little things that add up. Great post.
ReplyDeleteNo one, I mean no one ever gets my name right, so I can certainly appreciate your joy in this!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great when little things make you happy! I thought I was marrying into an easy name Hale, but it seems there are many ways to spell that as well...Hail, Halle, etc. And my daughter being Carrie is forever spelling her name. Nothing is ever simple. Usually they get Barb right, but now and then I get "Bob." Must be the accent.
