There is no edit on these beyond a little 'weathered' texture on the last one.
Some days are just black and white, naturally.
As much as I have bellyached about the incessant snow this winter, I will be the first to acknowledge its beauty and the reprieve it has given us from the usual brown of winters past.
I also predict that come summer with its long stretches of sweltering heat coupled with equal amounts of humidity, we will look back on these days with a hint of regret on how harshly we judge and will instead recall them with a certain amount of fondness.

That said - only 1 more day until Spring is "officially" here.

Great images of what I hope is maybe your last snow. I thought that same thought just yesterday about the heat and humidity that we will be complaining about come soon enough, with barely a thought of what this past few months has brought!!
ReplyDeleteOh your images made my jealous, I wished for snow this winter but we didn't get it. Now I'm happy that nature didn't skip Spring!
ReplyDeleteLovely images. My b & w also was monochrome naturally this week and I emphasized the black more in my photo as I liked it dark.
ReplyDeleteNormally, I'm not sure I'd be fond of natural b&w days, but you really made it look beautiful! Love that woodpecker on the fence, too!
ReplyDeleteCounting down to spring! And I look forward to fondly missing this winter :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how b&w our days can be, and you have captured it beautifully! I love the little bits of warm colour that you included.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty - they capture the mood and feel of these last, lingering winter days. I'm a fan of the moodiness of this in between time - and you've shared it beautifully! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteI have always been a fan of the naturally black and white days myself!
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed your snowy photos this season. (And I have plenty of my own!) There is such a quiet mood to new snow.
ReplyDeleteLove that last shot. After being in the Caribbean last week with humidity, I didn't like that either.
ReplyDeleteThese images are lovely! Today I decided to jump back on the blogging bandwagon. It's been almost a year since my last blog post. After I posted on my blog, I decided I better catch up with what some of my favorite bloggers are posting. Your post did not disappoint! Looking forward to staying in touch again through blogging!
ReplyDeleteI happen to LOVE nature-al B&W. I LOVE that last one. SO cool with a hint of yellow. Good eye Nicki
