Thought I would give a try at inserting color (inspired by another 2pea member who did this with a slice of fruit). Don't miss the vinegar/dye/mess; but not as much fun as coloring eggs with the kids.

I think that would be a better way, but not nearly as much fun. Wonder if there is some way to transfer patterns, too??
