Spirit Week . . .

Its homecoming week for our high school, thus it is SPIRIT WEEK! My daughter has decided she is going to made a greater effort to participate this year, though she concluded that her sleepwear was not school suitable this morning (when there was ZERO time to go out and pick something up) and she is in protest against demoralizing geeks/nerds so she'll be skipping that day as well.

The boy, on the other hand, is all for it. Lock * Stock * & * Barrel! He was more than ready for 'get up and go day / also known as 'wear your PJs to school ' this morning and is geared for character day (can we say, 'SUPER hero'!) . He even went so far as to dig out stuff for 'nerd day'. I'm sure they have a more 'politically correct' term for it - but basically it is NERD DAY. I couldn't resist taking some pictures as we were piecing together items for use this week.

It never ceases to amaze me how much alike these kids are and yet so different. The girl is serious, self-conscious and very conservative. The boy is serious, self-conscious, with a 'what ever' / I don't care type of attitude. The risk taker. Love 'em both to pieces.
