a knickknack or trinket.
No matter how you say it, these little Japanese erasers are nothing more than tchotchkes because honestly, who could bear to erase away the cuteness of that panda.
My daughter got irrationally excited when she saw these at the bookstore. There were oodles of them - each and every one as cute or cuter than the last. As an afterthought, I attempted to photograph some of them, unfortunately I completely forgot to readjust my ISO to severe/cave-like indoor conditions, so ultimately the end result was orange, grainy, yuckness. Oh well! Its not like they were going to make it into the annual photo album. The one drawback I have with shooting in manual on a camera is that you can't leave your brain on auto. You have to be working it all the time and remembering the little details such as 'change the ISO'.
At least RAW gives me a little safety net to correct dead-brain, when I have it (with great frequency!) These are cute; they'd make great little stocking stuffers.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those erasers! Where did you see them? I have 3 littles who would love those. I've done the ISO brain-burp myself; it is so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! Now I'll be on the look out for some :)
