Christmas mojo . . .

I am slowly getting my Christmas mojo back, and its snowing. Coincidence? Probably not!

When I was a young girl my Godparents gave me several books, one of which was Santa Mouse. It was short and sweet and I read that book till it nearly fell apart.

Other than to take these pictures, I generally keep the book in the cedar trunk, but the spirit of Santa Mouse lives on.

I may forgo putting out some snowmen or other miscellaneous holiday decorations, but the truly old decorations such as Santa Mouse and tree ornaments from my childhood go out regardless of mojo - its just not Christmas without them.

  1. I feel the same way about some of the ornaments for the tree---my kids think they are the ugliest things ever, but complain if I don't put them up. It wouldn't be Christmas without them, and the memories they bring.

  2. I was going to take you to task at first with all that talk of Christmas. I love Christmas but I haven't even started thinking seriously about the subject . . . but then I saw your book . . . Aww . . . now my insides are one big mushy blob . . . What a lovely memory from your childhood! Do you still remember the story by heart? Santa Mouse!

  5. My book was Plum Pudding for Christmas, we'd always go to check it out from the library. About 10 years ago, my mom found a copy somehow and gave it to me. So glad you found your Christmas mojo, enjoy the season and the snow!
