Friday I managed to watch a webinar on how to take firework pictures (creativeLive) and tonight I chucked just about everything the presenter said to do. I'm convinced his instructions only apply to more substantial firework displays (meaning the fireworks are set off in a specific location and not a few here, a few there), and only if you are good friends with your tripod (which I am not). I am a hand-held type of girl - but I should try harder. Maybe I'll give it a go with the monopod.
