parting shots . . .
With the latest cold snap, many of our spring blossoms have bid goodbye. The dogwood was pretty much at the end already, but a recent heavy frost really zapped my pink/peach azalea bush. We are one week away from May, the last month of the school year (yikes, where did that go?), and the heater has been turned back on and quilts pulled out. Kinda crazy when you think March had us turning on the air-conditioner, mowing the yard, and wearing shorts and sandals. Crazy, right?

I agree. It has been crazy weather this year. Don't know whether we're coming or going. Everything bloomed early here in central Mass. I don't know if that's good or bad but so far we haven't had a frost to zap the blooms. And we got some much needed rain. The time does fly. My son is graduating in a couple of weeks from graduate school. How did the time pass so quickly?? Lovely robin, btw.
ReplyDeleteCold and damp here. We've been fortunate to have such beautiful weather this spring. Loving the outdoors. Nice shot of the robin, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI saw where some places received snow recently -- now that's just wrong. Glad you got one last snap of your blossoms and Mr. Robin. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've been going through some crazy weather changes here too. Thought we were going to have a really long, hot summer and then cool weather came back.
ReplyDeleteThis shot looks like a painting!
The weather has been crazy here too. The blooming tree makes such a nice backdrop for your robin shot.
ReplyDeletei love blooming trees. :)
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather here too! I always love a cold glass of water during the spring and summer. However, despite the cold weather, you shot with the lemon compels me to still reach for that cold glass to enjoy anyways, with wool socks, slippers, blanket and all! Love the vibrant colors in that photo.
ReplyDeleteCrazy crazy weather - I can't wait for the sun and warmth to come back! Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteMore crazy weather, here, too. Nicki, that photo is so pretty, it would look gorgeous enlarged and hanging on the wall :)
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been the same way-up, down, and all over!Love how you captured the bird through the flowers!
