Joining Ashley Sisk for another
Yes, siree it is that time again. This week was filled to the gills with pictures, none specifically taken with the scavenger words in mind, but I believe I can squeeze something from the stack to fill the bill.
~~ orange or pink ~~
with all the orange foliage in the mountains this past weekend during my travels home I could have been posting pictures for this prompt for weeks to come. As it is, I will opt for the wooly worm sporting black and orange,
and
a lovely tea pot from the massive collection my hostess had in her house.
(she has hundreds of tea pots in every shape and size)

~~ faceless portrait ~~
from the senior portrait session I had with a very sweet young lady. it was only yesterday I joined her sitting alone in a corner of her 4th grade class while all the other kids were running the room like a bunch of banshies. Painfully shy, seriously quiet, I could barely get 2 sentences out of her. Imagine my shock when she recently approached me to see if I would consider taking some Senior pictures for her. She remembered me from grade school and just knew she would feel comfortable posing for pictures for me. It's moments like this that make me so glad I quit working full time to redirect my energies to being with my children and volunteering at the elementary school.
~~ view from the top ~~
this was taken from behind the service station my father owned when I was a young girl. at the time there was a trailer park behind the station and I can honestly say I never went back there (not even sure where the entrance was) so I was never aware of this view. makes ya wonder how many other majestic things are under your nose and you proceed completely ignorant of them.
~~ cozy ~~
home sweet home. comfy and cozy. weeds and all.
~~ stacked ~~
stopped to photograph a barn and when I turned around I noticed this.
well, there you have it, another week behind us.
Enjoy today and have a marvelous week!

ReplyDeleteYou know, we have a lot in common. I was once a paralegal who decided to stay home with my kids while they grew up. My father also owned a gas station when I was a kid. Unfortunately, there was no view like that near his. Nice job with the prompts this week. Love the faceless portrait and the signs of fall.
