This week's flower with Mona's Baby Blue texture.
This is an average Marigold flower but what makes it stand out is the blue background that came about because it was near dark when I spotted and photographed it.
well, okay - this isn't blue and probably falls on the red/purple side of the color wheel - but I like it.

* By-the-way, it is my daughter who is going to Japan. She will be studying abroad for an entire year, so at the end of the month we will be sending her to the other side of the world and not see her until next summer.

ReplyDeleteWon't you get to visit your daughter in Japan? Just once?? And Facetime over wifi is pretty good...
No visit is planned, however I will be prepared to go if there is an emergency. And yea, Facetime has been a wonderful thing while she has been away at college and hopefully it will work like a charm when she is overseas. I know that she will have to purchase a different cell phone because her service will not work there - so I'm not sure how this translates to Facetime. There is another similar service that prior students have used - I'm sure we'll get it figured out. It just scares the crap out of me that she will be getting there alone and we won't be there to move her in. Growing up is not all it is cracked up to be - but necessary.
