if I had a million dollars | song*ography ...

This week's tune is 'If I had a Million Dollars' by Bare Naked Ladies.
I've been a bit distracted and busy the past few days
so I didn't get around to googling the lyrics or listening to the song.

What I do know about money is:

THEY say you can't take it with you when you go ...

THEY say it won't buy you happiness ...

THEY say it can't buy you love ...

well, that is what THEY say.
 .. .. ..
I  say that if I had a million buckaroos

I'd go for the house at the beach ...

and have a plane on standby so I could just jet to wherever I wanted
(luggage restrictions be damned!).

and probably drop a dime or two on my kids,
and the rest of the family too
- but especially them.

If I had a million dollars I'd probably do a lot of the same stuff I current do,
only with nicer "things",
and hopefully with a strong dose of humility and charity.

.. .. .. .. .. ..

  3. Fun post. Me thinks you gonna run out of money paying the taxes on that beach house. Nice portrait of your kiddos. My fave shot is that lead one of the clock.

  4. That plane is going to eat a big chunk of your million. Maybe a leasing option would work. It is sweet of you to share the wealth.

Your kids are lovely and it's great that you would share your wealth with them.
Oh a plane at your disposal, now that might be interesting too.

  10. very nice. I know they say all that stuff about money and that it's all probably true. But, I wouldn't mind a chance to prove the theory.

  12. Oh gosh, I know you can't take money with you, and neither can I, but I sure wouldn't refuse it if I won a lottery or someone gave me a big pile of cold, hard cash. It sure makes life easier and there is no denying that... Great beach shot!

  15. Terrific photos! It's fun to dream about windfalls, isn't it? I would probably buy the down-sized house of my dreams and not worry about getting rid of our current abode. And much would go to the kids.
