- Japan update -
our daughter was stricken with mouth/foot/hand disease - apparently an epidemic over there right now.
painful, but with medication and face mask (and OCD cleanliness)
an ailment that will heal with time (3-7 days)
not something on her radar as she starts her study abroad, but at least she is past the excruciating part and knows what she has (went to bed normal, woke up a mess).
nothing like a bizarre illness to test your language skills.
