CHICKEN FRIED
 by Zac Brown Band

like our chicken fried
and cold beer on a Friday night
a pair of jeans that fit just right
and the radio on

 It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most
not where you live,
what you drive
or the price tag on your clothes . . .

 ~~~~
While I live in the country - I don't do country.
I prefer grilled chicken over fried,
lemonade or tea (or frankly anything) over beer,
yoga pants over jeans,
and my ipod over the radio.
Though the price tag on my clothes does not define me
I have found you generally 'get what you pay for' - or at least up to a point.
but Mr. Brown and Band -I do like your 'easy laid-back' attitude,
so while I'm not exactly a Green Acres kinda girl
I can appreciate the simple.
*oh, and I've managed to type 'friend' instead of 'fried' each time
- so if I miss correcting one - be a friend ya'll and overlook it.
  1. Oh I so agree with this! I was born in the "sticks" of South Jersey, but we were raised with the city close to our hearts and mind. Now, a city dweller, I try to keep it all mixed together. (this coming from the girl who drank a beer from the bottle while grilling out last night!)
    Have a great rest of your weekend!!
  2. You are just too funny! Love it! I'm def a city girl BUT...I can get my "country" on at any time :). I really like the processing on your image, and those hints of daisies in the background. Very nice. Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.
  3. So fun Nicki. Not a city gal by any stretch if the imagination. I might be a country girl at heart tho.
  4. Oh I hear you on the Lemonade or (anything) over beer. Just not my thing. I'm more a city gal myself but appreciation of the "little things" is what matters most. Loved your processing.
