Well, we wish we were happier, thinner and fitter,
We wish we weren't losers and liars and quitters
We want something more not just nasty and bitter
We want something real not just hashtags and Twitter
So sing, sing at the top of your voice,
Oh, love without fear in your heart.
Can you feel, feel like you still have a choice
If we all light up we can scare away the dark

Of late I have only managed to take pictures of 'events' I have attended,
some managing to fit beautifully with the song*ographies - others, a little less so.
Friday we celebrated the 94th birthday of my great-uncle;
a man who approach life in a quiet and simple sort of way.
Two years ago while visiting him, he was fascinated with the wonders of the cell-phone and it's picture book capabilities.
He has no use for hashtags or twitter - but finds it all amusing;
just like the 'newfangled way' they put his picture on the cake.
