a couple of years ago I convinced the family to join the gym.
it was long over due,
it was necessary,
it was the best.decision.ever.
we have been model members about going on a steady and regular basis,
where even on days when I have felt like I couldn't take one more step
I knew that once I got to the gym it would be okay.
but
tolerance aside, the simple fact is
tolerance aside, the simple fact is
they've not been good about maintaining their equipment, or facility for that matter
and while it was never "pretty", it was once spiffier and in better shape.
so when suddenly there were flyers in the mail and billboards on the interstate
"OPENING SOON"
a new, clean gym with all the amenities that spoke to what we actually use at the gym
it was a sign
it was a sign
last evening was the last trip to "our gym"
and hopefully in a week we'll have a new "our gym".
I have no regrets and will miss some familiar faces
but it's time

Bravo on your consistency! I hope your new gym will feel a bit like a reward! Love both of the shots - first one sets a real mood and the clock does convey that "it's time"!! Thanks for linking up!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you've kept going! We go to one that's about 5 years old, and it's already beginning to look tired. These places take a real beating. Good for you and your family!
