But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True Colors
Cyndi Lauper
In this day and age of advanced technology,
where all the knowledge in the world can be accessed through a smartphone,
seemingly holding all the answers in the palm of your hand,
how is it we are still eluded by
acceptance and understanding?
I can not in good consciousness consider myself a good person if doing so requires me to condemn another simply because they are not just like me.
I am ignorant in many things - hopefully I can resist the natural direction of bias ignorance generally fosters.
I long for the day when people can be them self and show their true colors without fear of rejection, bullying, or worse, death.
~~~
your true colors are beautiful
like a rainbow
so don't be afraid to let them show
Wonderful shots! Fits the song perfectly.
ReplyDeleteAmen on ALL accounts! Ignorance breeds hate, love opens doors and acceptance. The latter seems to be the much easier option, which amazes me why it is so hard for some. Thank you for your wonderful photos, profound thoughts, and joining in at Song-ography.
