My husband and I were doing the final grocery run (truth or wishful thinking)
when a stranger turned to my husband and struck up a conversation about the impending bowl game.
Turn the corner, couple of aisles over, and we encounter each other again,
this time it was about "do you think the coach will leave?"
Parting ways with a "Merry Christmas!"
Further into the store a lady exiting the cosmetic aisle, heading into paper products was greeting everyone with a joyful "Merry Christmas!" which brought a smile to everyone's face.

I can honestly say that doesn't happen any other time of the year,
and THAT is the stuff that makes this season extra special.
