I would have to abandon my senses to attempt any baking at this time because the oven is (yet again) on the fritz. Further, for the time being I've put its repair on the back burner of things to attend to if for no other reason than to avoid the temptation to settle into a good batch of brownies or oatmeal cookies and warm cup of java to deal with cabin fever during this uninvited winter vortex.
Grapefruit is my friend. Humus is 'da bomb. Yogurt covered cranberries is decadent.
Abandon is my middle name (not!).

Mm humus! Hope the oven gets fixed!
ReplyDeleteSimple is best! Love that last picture.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, totally laughing here at your "Grapefruit is my friend" mantra. I can relate sista!
ReplyDeleteSucks about the oven, but all the other things are definitely super healthy.
ReplyDeleteYogurt covered cranberries *are* the bomb! Love the composition of that last shot. We have a high of 38 here with a wind chill which is very cold for the /d/e/e/p/ /s/o/u/t/h. Meanwhile Sunday will be 70. I think 50 or 60 would be better.
ReplyDeleteIt makes it easier to eat healthy when you can't bake, that's for sure! I've never had yogurt covered cranberries....they sound delish! Doesn't winter always seem to last forever? Makes us appreciate spring, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteIts probably a good thing my oven isn't calibrated-it's very frustrating when I want 325 & and I have to wiggle the knob every which way and everything pretty much cakes @ 450 cause it's old! But your photos are crazy good
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a baker, but these photos sure look good! I made brownies last weekend and I think I ate all of them. Next time I'll try freezing them ...maybe out of sight out of mind will help them last longer!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree as I polish off the last Pecan Delight from Russel Stover.
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot; I love your wording....but so relate to all you said.....
ReplyDeleteYour too funny... Loving your photos..
