little.things.thursday | little things add up ...

I miss the little and not so little nuances of DC.
I moved to Washington after graduating college and as with most things in hindsight,
I wish I would have slowed down and enjoyed it more.
Perhaps there is a story to be told from those days
- but likely not as spirited as stories that could have been shared at that fictitious poker table.

  1. Sometimes I miss DC too - I love politics but sometimes it was too much in the city - but still the city had it's endearing bits!

  2. I lived near DC (PA) years ago and enjoyed visiting. I haven't been for a long time, and I'm sure the big city wouldn't appeal to me as much now. (Or the heat) That's quite the poker gang!

  3. If only we learned to slow down and appreciate what we have when we have it. I keep trying to do that.

  4. It's so hard when one is young to slow down and enjoy. I think we learn that lesson when we have acquired a few years. At least I am trying to .....

  6. I can only imagine the things said at that table. I wonder if there would actually be more comraderie than we expect? I know what you mean about slowing down to enjoy things more. I feel that way about many places I have been.
