Monday Muse ...

look what I found in the yard this weekend

There were a couple yellow ones too - but I'll save those for texture day.

I also noticed trees.

Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, they busted out with blossom and birds.  I would say "yeah, Spring is (finally) here", but today the temperatures will be in the upper 70s and for the next few days we're getting . . .

80+ degrees.

Sorry, that is NOT Spring
that IS Summer.

Dang it, I want my Spring.  No skip overs.

. . .

ps - hang tight, I am feebly attempting to find a new look for the blog.
4 years of pretty much the same has grown old, even for me.

  1. I'll take your warm weather any day! Even on Christmas! Here in Chicago the grass is beginning to "hint" that is going to turn green. I can't wait.

  3. It seems the window for spring between winter and summer gets shorter and shorter every year.

  4. Yay for the new blog design! Loving it so far. And I'm just curious, what is the width of you blog?

Lucky you getting warm weather but BOO to 80+ weather.

    1. Yolanda - I'm not totally sure off the top of my head, but I put it to the max option under Advanced Layout/Template adjustments. I know that my header is sized (at this point) to 1500 on the long side.

  5. Lovely little daffodils!
I'm sitting here with the doors to the deck open and it's a nice change of pace. There's been a slight breeze here so it's not as warm as the temps lead you to believe.
Looking forward to seeing your final blog look.

  6. I'm so jealous of your daffodil. So far I haven't even seen daffodil leaves here. But I must admit that when I do see them they will likely come FAST. :)

  7. I love your new blog header, although you need to keep the tree in some fashion (It always seemed like your "stamp").
I hear you on the getting too warm. Just a week ago, 23 degF, now 75! Too hot, too soon.... I'm hoping it will all temper down.
It's great to see some flowers - and I love your birdie in the tree and on the wire.

  8. Hmm- I hear you on spring & the temps. We were looking at the temps in our old town- near 90 this week. I know we would have had the AC cranked already. Not quite that warm here - but that's good. We came here to escape the heat. Hope you cool down & get more spring like temps.

  9. Umm, we didn't get over 30 today, and it will be in single digits in the a.m., so summer? Not so much. We're promised to get to 45 tomorrow. White is the color of today's landscape nin SW MT.

I like the new blog look, and I love the summery photos (as I huddle under a blanket trying to stay warm!
